Every market cycle looks different, but the cause never changes: humans hate waiting.
We chase what’s new, fast, exciting — because waiting feels like doing nothing.
But your edge in crypto isn’t secret insight; it’s the willingness to sit on good positions while everyone else gets bored, anxious, or reactive.
Waiting is a skill — and most people refuse to learn it.

Boring isn’t the absence of progress — it’s what progress feels like from the inside.

🧰 Practical Tip — The 24-Hour Cooling Timer (Your Anti-FOMO Tool)
One of the tools we teach inside the Academy is the Cooling Timer — a simple, powerful way to stop impulse decisions turning into expensive ones.
When your research says “buy,” you pause for 24 hours before doing anything.
During that pause, ask yourself:
- Has my reasoning changed, or just my mood?
- Does this fit my Ground → Guard → Grow plan?
- Would I still want this if the price fell 10% tomorrow?
- Am I following my rules — or chasing excitement?
If the thesis still holds after 24 hours, then act.
If it doesn’t, you’ve just saved yourself a tuition fee paid to the market.
Lesson
Urgency is rarely a signal — it’s usually a sales tactic in disguise.

💭 Mindset Shift: A Lesson From Mark Douglas (The Disciplined Trader)
This week’s mindset point comes from Mark Douglas — one of the greats in trading psychology.
One of his most powerful ideas is this:
“The market does not know you exist.
It never rewards or punishes you.
Only your behaviour does that.”
People think they need to control the market.
What they actually need to control is themselves.
Douglas teaches that your actions are driven by expectations — and unrealistic expectations create frustration, overtrading, chasing, and emotional spirals.
Your job isn’t to predict.
Your job is to respond calmly based on your system.
Lesson
The market doesn’t owe you anything — but your system can give you everything.

🌱 Community Spotlight — Cumbrian meets Crypto - Bringing Crypto to Our Local Communities
Over the past few months, people in my own personal network have been quietly asking the same thing:
“Yvonne… could you just show me this in person?”
Not a big event. Not a conference. Not an online course.
Just a calm, friendly space where they can ask the real questions:

- Can I do this safely without feeling daft?
And I completely understand.
